Electricity Consumer workshop in hotel Swarn at mahasamund

Capacity building workshop for electricity consumers (domestic, commercial, small and medium enterprises) was organized at Hotel Swarn in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh state under the joint aegis of Anmol Foundation Raipur and Civic Consumer and Civic Action Group Chennai (www.cag.org.in). 
Dr. Ekta Langer wife of District Magistrate Mahasamund district presided over the program as the chief guest. Addressing the program, she explained the utility of electricity and its importance in detail that electricity is an important part of our lives today. We cannot do any work without it. Electricity helps in every work from kitchen to office. People get scared just by imagining its absence. The whole world is concerned about electricity saving and new sources and is engaged in ensuring the system by promoting solar energy. She appealed to the participants that it is the responsibility of all of us to conserve electricity by installing LED bulbs and using electricity only when needed. Also, she stressed on taking advantage of the government schemes and taking advantage of PM Surya Ghar Yojana. He praised the work of CAG and Anmol Foundation and assured help in every possible program. While addressing the program, CAG Chennai researcher Manikandan Ji shared information about the electricity system and its structure in Chhattisgarh, domestic and commercial tariff plan, PM Suryaghar Yojana, agricultural solar pump and star rating through PPT and also answered the questions of the participants. Giving detailed information about the program, Anmol Foundation director Sanjay Sharma said that CAG is running this program in 6 states of India and has been working for the benefit of consumers in Chennai for the last several years. He informed that in Chhattisgarh, in collaboration with Anmol Foundation, it is working to create awareness among consumers and develop their capacity through meetings, workshops and seminars in different districts. While addressing the program, detailed information was provided regarding the rights and facilities of electricity consumers and the functions and responsibilities of Consumer Forum and Electricity Regulatory Commission. The program was inaugurated by Dr Suresh Shukla, Director of Nidan Sansthan, by welcoming the guests and participants by presenting them with a bouquet of flowers and also introducing the guests. At the end of the program, the guests were honored by presenting them mementoes and expressed gratitude for the participation of the participants in making the program successful. Yours
