Case Study on Women’s Domestic Violence Act



Smt. Nirmala Sahu w/o Satyanarayana Sahu She was tortured mentally, physically, and financially by her husband after month of her marriage. After facing lots of problem and having lots of struggle, she decided to stay with her parents but she was humiliating by her society. And she and her entire parents were expelled by her community due to her unsocial situation
           She was depressed after shameful justice and humiliating by the people of her society. She decided to live along with her Sister-In-low who is living in Hirri village where there the member of Sakhi Sahkari Samiti, MSKPP also lved. She was intimating all incidences to Mrs. Hemlata Sahu organizer of Sakhi Sahkari Samiti.


Then Organization take initiative and case file in Kutumb Court under Women’s Domestic Violence Act -2005. And finally after a few months Victim got justice and by article no 125. And the judiciary asked her husband to fulfill the basic need and gave notice to provide Rs.3000/- per month for the family maintenance. At present Nirmala is surviving her life with a positive hope with dignity and also working in Sakhi sahkari samiti and focus on her better & bright future.
